Experience the wilderness of Camp Tamok, a serene retreat just a 90-minute scenic bus ride away from Tromsø's city center. Your adventure begins with a pick-up in Tromsø, where we'll transport you to Camp Tamok.
Upon reaching the camp, we'll equip you with warm winter clothing and all necessary gear. Our experienced guides will ensure your safety through detailed instructions and a practical demonstration on sled handling.
Prepare for an active dog sledding journey with Alaskan huskies. Each sled accommodates two participants, with one as the "musher", or driver, and the other enjoying the ride. Our well-trained huskies are eager runners, and teamwork is crucial in dog sledding, so there will be moments when you'll assist and push the sled alongside your dog team.
Throughout the excursion, you'll have the opportunity to switch roles, allowing both of you to experience driving and relaxing on the sled. Depending on snow conditions, the adventure will last up to 1 hour and 30 minutes. Following the tour, a hot meal will be served by an open fire in a traditional reindeer herder's tent.
After a warm and satisfying meal, your daytime sledding experience will conclude, and it will be time to board the bus for your return to Tromsø's city center.
