Welcome to The HotSpot, our floating sauna along the scenic Vervet waterfront. Step into the warmth of our Styrbord Sauna, with space for up to 8 guests per hour. Relax in the steam and take in stunning views of Tromsø’s sea, surrounding mountains, and Arctic landscape.
The sauna is electrically heated to provide steady, comfortable warmth all year round. Round windows fill the space with soft natural light and connect you directly to the beautiful surroundings outside.
Inspired by Vervet’s history as Tromsø’s old shipyard, the design features a steel structure, porthole-style windows, and a clean maritime aesthetic. The result is a modern, functional space that reflects Tromsø’s coastal culture and heritage.
Take a moment to breathe, unwind, and enjoy an authentic sauna experience – right in the heart of Tromsø.
Important:
Write down your PIN code before arrival so you can enter the wardrobes and sauna
Alcohol and food are not allowed
Shower before using the sauna – and also after a sea dip before re-entering
Only fresh water may be poured on the sauna oven stones
No soap or shampoo can be used in the showers/sink since the water runs directly into the sea
Please keep the sauna clean and remember to take all your belongings with you when you leave
Respect your booked time – early arrival or late departure is not permitted
Please bring:
Two towels (one to sit on – mandatory – and one to dry off)
Swimsuit
Water bottle (non-metal recommended for use inside the sauna)
Padlock for the wardrobe lockers (optional)
Facilities:
Access to Styrbord Sauna (electric heated)
Men’s and women’s wardrobes with cold showers
Lockers for storing your belongings (bring your own padlock) - share a locker with a friend if possible.

Styrbord Sauna fits up to 8 guests for drop-in bookings
Your session is 60 or 120 minutes. Check your booking confirmation for the time booked
You will receive a pin code for access to the sauna and facilities on the day of your visit – write it down before arrival, you need it to enter the wardrobes, sauna and toilet
Respect your booked time – early entry or late stay is not permitted. The access code is only valid during the booked time
Styrbord Sauna is our most intimate sauna with space for 8 people and beautiful views.
