Experience the excitement of driving your own snowmobile through the untouched wilderness of the Arctic, paired with a magical visit to Tromsø Ice Domes Snow Park.
Begin your adventure with a bus ride from Tromsø city center. After a relaxing 90-minute journey, you will arrive in the remote Tamokdalen area, home to our wilderness camp.
Upon arriving at Camp Tamok, your guide will greet you warmly and equip you with all the necessary gear, including a thermal suit, boots, gloves, and helmet, as you prepare for the snowmobiling tour. Our expert guides will provide comprehensive safety instructions on how to operate a snowmobile, ensuring that everyone feels confident and secure before setting off.
Follow your guide on a breathtaking journey through snowy trails, passing by snow-covered mountains, valleys, frozen rivers, and lakes. You'll share a snowmobile with another participant, taking turns as driver and passenger. Midway through the tour, we'll take a short break to switch roles, giving both of you the opportunity to drive the snowmobile.
After the snowmobiling tour, unwind and warm up with a hot meal and drink by the open fire inside one of the lávvus (traditional Sámi tents). During your meal, a camp host will provide details about the next part of your day: the visit to Tromsø Ice Domes Snow Park.
Once inside the park, you'll be enchanted by the stunning snow and ice sculptures. Take your time exploring the mesmerizing displays, navigate the snow maze, and discover our two domes. Marvel at the art illuminated by natural light, set against the backdrop of pristine Arctic landscapes.
Get up close to two of Northern Norway's most iconic animals: cuddle with our huskies and visit the reindeer near the park.
As your visit comes to an end, it's time to board the bus back to Tromsø, carrying with you wonderful memories of an adrenaline-filled day in the Arctic wilderness and plenty of photos of the magical snow art.
