Combine the thrill of dog sledding through stunning Arctic landscapes with a magical visit to the Tromsø Ice Domes Snow Park.
Important: This activity does not include bus transportation. Please arrive at Camp Tamok 15 minutes before your scheduled start time.
Upon arrival at Camp Tamok, you’ll be greeted by your guide and equipped with essential gear, including thermal suits, boots, and gloves, to ensure warmth and comfort. After receiving instructions on how to steer the sled, you’ll embark on your exhilarating dog sledding adventure. You will share a sled with another guest, with one person mushing and the other riding. Midway through, you’ll switch roles to experience both aspects of the ride.
Following your sledding adventure, you can visit the dog yard and relax by the open fire inside a Sámi lávvu with a hot meal and drink. A camp host will inform you of the schedule for the second part of your experience: a visit to the Tromsø Ice Domes Snow Park.
At the Snow Park, explore a wonderland of snow and ice sculptures, navigate a snow maze, and visit the two domes. Marvel at the artistic creations illuminated in their pristine Arctic setting, and interact with Northern Norway’s iconic animals. Cuddle with huskies and visit reindeer near the park.
About the Dog Sledding Activity:
This advanced dog sledding adventure is designed for those with good physical fitness. The tour includes challenging terrain, with sections that may have fresh snow or inclines requiring assistance to push the sled. The trail may be narrow with sharp turns, demanding good balance to steer. Both participants must meet these requirements when swapping places midway through the tour.

Dog Sledding: Advanced
This activity has been labelled as a challenging activity with high difficulty level. The tour requires strength and fitness from all our guests, and a good physical condition is necessary to participate.
Additionally, be prepared for outdoor weather conditions which can be harsh and unpredictable during Arctic winter. Temperatures often drop below freezing, with averages ranging from -10°C to -20°C.
Our guides are entitled to deny drivers and passengers to join this tour out of health and safety reason.
