Reindeer Sledding, Tromsø Ice Domes Snow Park Visit - Incl. Transport

Begin your adventure with a bus ride from Tromsø city center, heading out on a 90-minute journey through picturesque landscapes to reach the remote area of Tamokdalen, home to our wilderness camp.

Upon arriving at Camp Tamok, your guide will warmly welcome you and provide you with essential gear, including thermal suits, boots, and gloves, to ensure you're comfortable and warm for the day's activities. Your adventure kicks off with a reindeer sledding experience.

Since our reindeer herd is located some distance from the dog yard, you'll start this activity with a short transfer by minibus.

This cultural experience includes a brief reindeer sledding tour, captivating storytelling about the Sami culture, and the opportunity to feed the reindeer. There are about 5-6 reindeer in the camp.

After the tour, you'll return to Camp Tamok to relax and warm up by the open fire inside one of the lávvus (indigenous Sámi tents), enjoying a hot meal and drink. During your meal, a camp host will inform you about the details for the second part of your day: the visit to Tromsø Ice Domes Snow Park.

Once inside the park, you'll discover the enchanting world of snow and ice sculptures. Take your time exploring the mesmerizing sculptures, navigate the snow maze, and explore our two domes. Marvel at the stunning art illuminated by natural light, set against the backdrop of pristine Arctic landscapes. You'll also have the chance to get close to two of Northern Norway's most iconic animals: cuddle with our huskies and visit the reindeer near the park.

After your visit to the Snow Park, your day at Camp Tamok and Tromsø Ice Domes will come to a close. It's time to board the bus back to Tromsø, carrying with you wonderful memories of these authentic Arctic experiences and the magical snow art.
