Experience the excitement at our wilderness center, Camp Tamok. Start from Tromsø's city center with a 90-minute scenic bus ride to reach the camp.

Upon arrival, get geared up with warm clothes for the snowmobiling activity. After a safety briefing and practical demonstration, drive your own snowmobile in pairs.

After the ride, enjoy a hot meal in a traditional North Norwegian setting around an open fire in a reindeer herder’s tent. In peak season, the group may split, with some having the meal first before heading into the mountains on snowmobiles.

After relaxing, it's time to return to Tromsø, crossing off another adventure from your bucket list!

Good to know

Due to the dramatic topography, a reduced speed is maintained during some parts of the tour.
The duration of the snowmobiling activity (the time you will spend on the tracks, driving the snowmobile) can differ day to day, depending on snow and weather conditions.
Total duration of the tour, including transportation from and to Tromsø is 7 hours.

What to bring or wear

Valid driver’s license.
Dressing in warm winter clothing and in layers so you can adjust your clothing to the weather.

We serve bread, coffee, tea and water with the meal.

If no notice is given in advance, an extra fee of 150 NOK will be charged.

Restrictions

Age limit:

You need to be minimum 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license to operate a snowmobile.
Passengers needs to be minimum 7 years old.
Each child must be accompanied by an adult.
Drivers and passengers must be minimum 130cm in height to meet the safety requirements.
