Experience the excitement of driving your own snowmobile through the Arctic's remote wilderness, paired with a magical visit to Tromsø Ice Domes Snow Park.
Important Note: This activity does not include bus transportation. Please arrive at Camp Tamok 15 minutes before the activity starts.
Upon your arrival at Camp Tamok, your guide will warmly welcome you and provide all the necessary gear, including a thermal suit, boots, gloves, and helmet. You'll kick off your adventure with a snowmobiling tour. Our expert guides will give comprehensive safety instructions on how to operate a snowmobile, ensuring that everyone feels confident and secure before setting off.
Follow your guide on a breathtaking journey along snowy trails, passing through snow-covered mountains, valleys, frozen rivers, and lakes. You'll share a snowmobile with another person, taking turns as driver and passenger. Midway through the tour, we’ll take a short break so you can switch roles, allowing both of you to experience driving the snowmobile.
After the tour, unwind and warm up with a hot meal and drink by the open fire inside one of the lávvus (indigenous Sámi tents). During your meal, a camp host will provide details for the second part of your day: the visit to Tromsø Ice Domes Snow Park.
Once inside the park, you'll be captivated by the enchanting snow and ice sculptures. Take your time exploring the mesmerizing displays, navigate the snow maze, and discover our two domes. Marvel at the stunning art brought to life by light in the serene Arctic landscape. You'll also have the chance to get close to Northern Norway's most iconic animals: cuddle with our huskies and visit the reindeer near the park.
