Combine a guided snowshoe hike through the winter wonderland of Arctic Norway with a magical visit to the Tromsø Ice Domes Snow Park.
Important Note: This option does not include bus transportation. Please arrive at Camp Tamok 15 minutes before the activity begins.
Upon arrival at Camp Tamok, your guide will warmly welcome you and provide all the necessary gear, including snowshoes, poles, thermal suits, boots, and gloves. The adventure starts with a snowshoe hike.
The tour is designed to be easy and accessible for everyone. Your experienced guide will introduce you to snowshoe walking at the beginning of the activity, ensuring that even beginners can join in.
The snowshoe hike allows you to explore the peaceful winter landscapes at a leisurely pace. As you trek through the snow, your guide will share fascinating insights about the Arctic environment and teach essential wilderness survival skills, such as how to sleep outdoors, what to eat, and how to navigate. Midway through the hike, we’ll stop at a nature camp where your guide will demonstrate how to chop wood and start a fire, which will be used to cook a delicious lunch.
After returning to the camp, you’ll be informed about the time and place for the second part of your adventure: the visit to Tromsø Ice Domes Snow Park.
Once inside the park, you’ll be captivated by the enchanting snow and ice sculptures. Take your time exploring the mesmerizing displays, navigate the snow maze, and discover our two domes.
Marvel at the stunning art brought to life by light in the pristine natural surroundings of the Arctic landscape. You’ll also have the chance to get close to Northern Norway's most iconic animals: cuddle with our huskies and visit the reindeer near the park.
