We are thrilled to announce that our brand-new floating sauna will open at Vervet in the summer of 2025!
Are you ready for a steamy experience combined with a refreshing plunge into the Arctic waters?
This sauna blends modern design with Tromsø’s rich maritime heritage, offering an unforgettable experience on the water. It will consist of three buildings on a floating platform. This includes two saunas with a combined capacity of 18 people, a wardrobe, and a toilet. A rooftop terrace provides panoramic views of Tromsø’s most famous landmarks and even features a diving board for those eager to take an Arctic plunge.
As Vervet continues its transformation from its shipbuilding past to a thriving and modern waterfront district, this sauna represents a perfect blend of history, innovation, and Arctic wellness. The steel framework and round windows of the sauna are a direct nod to this history, reminiscent of the robust materials and circular portholes once common in ship construction.
Step inside and feel the warmth of the wood surround you as steam rises, carrying the crisp scent of fresh Arctic air. Through the windows, breathtaking views of the sea and mountains invite you to fully immerse yourself in the moment.
