Note: This option does not include bus transportation. Please arrive at Camp Tamok 15 minutes before the start of the activity.
When you arrive at Camp Tamok, your guide will warmly welcome you and provide essential gear, including thermal suits, boots, and gloves, to ensure your comfort and warmth for the adventure ahead.
Following preparations and detailed instructions on controlling and steering the sled, you’ll embark on your unforgettable dog sledding adventure!
During the ride, you will team up with another guest, sharing a sled. One will act as the musher, guiding a team of energetic huskies through the snowy terrain, while the other enjoys the ride seated on the sled. Halfway through, you’ll have the chance to switch roles, allowing both of you to experience the thrill of leading a team of huskies and the joy of being a passenger.
After the dog sled ride, you’ll visit our dog yard and enjoy some cuddle time with the huskies. To round off the experience, you can relax and warm up with a hot meal and drink by the open fire inside one of the lávvu (indigenous Sámi tents).
After lunch, it will be time to bid farewell to the huskies and the Arctic wilderness, heading home with memories to cherish for years to come.
About Your Dog Sledding Activity
This advanced dog sledding adventure is a challenging activity with a high difficulty level. All participants need strength, fitness, and a good physical condition to join.
Certain parts of the trail may be covered in fresh snow or include uphill sections, requiring you to assist the dogs by pushing the sled. The trail can be narrow with sharp bends, demanding good balance to steer the sled.
As you will be sharing the sled with another persn, both of you must meet these requirements when swapping places halfway through the tour.
